AESSEAL plc are looking for an Apprentice engineering technician support to complete a Level 3 Engineering Technician apprenticeship.

Role & responsibilities

  • The candidate will be responsible for ensuring high product quality of precision manufactured components
  • Duties will range from 30 off-line CMM programming, CNC, CMM operation and programming, SPC analysis, as well as conventional measuring techniques
  • The candidate will be quick to learn modern measuring techniques and demonstrate a positive customer focused attitude

Skills required:

  • Ability to work on your own initiative and to tight deadlines
  • The candidate must be self-motivated, enthusiastic and be able to demonstrate their ability to investigate and solve problems as they arise
  • Ability to read engineering drawings

Things to consider:

During the first year you will be required to attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre in Sheffield, full time for an initial block of study. You will return to your workplace one Friday per month. After the initial block training you will attend the AMRC Training Centre for one day a week to undertake the knowledge study. The remaining four days will be spent in company learning on the job.

Qualification Requirements:

Advanced Apprenticeships entry requirements

You will need both of the following:

  • GCSE English language C or 4 or above
  • GCSE Maths C or 4 or above.

Applicants are also required to successfully complete a series of assessments at the University of Sheffield’s AMRC Training Centre, as well as an employer recruitment and selection process to secure a place on an apprenticeship programme.
