Week ending January 29

This week, we have assembled the jig to test the fence post and painted it. It’s very satisfying to see it assembled since I have machined all the required parts except for the main I beam. The post will sit on the two box sections and face towards the end of the I beam. The two plates on the bottom will then be clamped to the floor of the testing machine which will then apply force downwards onto the beam. I’ve also been milling out slots for jack clamps, however I chain drilled them first to save time and to reduce the stress on the tool.
