It was an exciting week at the AMRC Training Centre, when our new business administration apprentices met for the first time.

The apprentices are all employed in businesses around the region and will meet up on a weekly basis to learn all they need to know at the new training centre, based in Catcliffe, Rotherham.

During the year they will learn new skills so that they can handle the day-to-day tasks that an office requires and help make sure things run smoothly. With 97% of employers saying that effective administration is essential to their business, we know that helping young people get a good foundation on the career ladder is crucial.

Christine Ainsbury, contracts manager at the AMRC Training Centre has been instrumental in setting up the programme and is a great supporter of helping young people get the best start in their working lives. She said "Ive seen the difference an apprenticeship can make and Im determined that the AMRC Training Centre will offer the very best standards and make the employers proud of their apprentices. Our first cohort is bright, articulate and enthusiastic and I cant wait to see them grow throughout the year".
