The AMRC Training Centre Apprentice of the Year Awards 2020 to be postponed

The University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre has taken the decision to postpone the AMRC Training Centre Apprentice of the Year Awards 2020.

Despite our very best efforts, in light of the pace of the spread of coronavirus, and in order to minimise the risks to our apprentices and guests, we are truly sorry to have to announce that we are postponing the AMRC Training Centre Apprentice of the Year Awards 2020 following recommendations made by the University of Sheffield and the AMRC Training Centre.

Nikki Jones , AMRC Training Centre Director said: “The decision to postpone is not one we have taken lightly but we feel it is the right choice to make; the health, safety and welfare of our apprentices and their families, employers, sponsors and special guests is our utmost priority.

“We are working hard with our venue to establish a rescheduled date so that we can deliver a ceremony that our apprentices truly deserve. I want to thank everyone for their support and please accept my apologies once again for having to take this difficult decision.”
