Jordan David Clayton – Polypipe
"I work as an apprentice toolmaker, stripping and servicing mould tools; making new components for injection mould tools; using a variety of machines such as EDM, millers, lathes and surface grinders; and have been involved in projects for Polypipe such as the nine-in-one seal inserter project.
The best bits of my time at the AMRC Training Centre have been learning and developing my skills through the shop floor; meeting a good set of people that have become friends; and completing both my NVQ and BTEC to a high standard. Looking to the future, I want to broaden my knowledge of injection moulding and develop as much as possible in the industry. I would also like to educate and train future apprentices and work my way up to a managerial position within Polypipe."
