The Technical Support Apprentice of the Year Winner 2020

"My current role is business improvement technician apprentice. My day-to-day activities include managing and assisting with various project work for area re-layouts; conducting time studies on processes; running the site ‘6S’ scheme to identify problems with areas; and running the site kaizen process to implement small but significant improvements and changes onto the shop floor.

I have had lots of highlights at the AMRC Training Centre, but I would say the best thing was the people who I met whilst there. The first six months when we were there full time was thoroughly enjoyable and I learned a lot of new things that I don’t think I would have done had I chosen to take a different route to an apprenticeship.

I aspire to work my way up in the field that I am in to eventually become a senior manager or even have my own business."
