The AMRC Training Centre is proud to announce that the 2013/2014 intake of apprentices have excelled in their academic studies, with 31% of apprentices gaining distinctions in every unit in year 1 and on track to achieve a double distinction star grade. for their technical certificate. To put this in to context last years national average rate for double distinction was 15%.

Many of these apprentices have significantly exceeded the grade suggested by their prior attainment at GCSE level.

Alison Bettac, director of training said: “This is a fantastic achievement and a result of the high standard of academic tuition received and the level of commitment from the apprentices themselves. Each and every apprentice fights hard to obtain a place at the AMRC Training Centre and they perform well, encouraged by their tutors, to retain that place. These excellent academic results follow on from an amazing few months for the centre in which we have won the Times Higher Education Award for widening participation and secured National College Status.”
