Bifrangi UK Limited are looking for an Apprentice CNC Machinist to complete a Level 3 Machining Technician apprenticeship.
Role & responsibilities:
- Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements including correct use of PPE, workspace cleanliness, COSHH
- Develop a complete understanding of CNC turning and the relevant programming languages
- Operate CNC lathes and machining centres to manufacture parts to satisfy existing orders and help to develop prototype parts for potential new business
- Gain experience working on CNC lathes (Siemens & Fanuc operating systems)
- Gain programming experience varying in complexity
- Verify conformity of parts using gauges – sending first-off parts for CMM measurement along with an understanding of measurement reports
- Work with Technical/Quality engineers to improve the processes and working environment
- Develop an ability to understand operation and method sheets
- Working with Standard Operating Procedures
- Understand engineering drawings (geometric tolerancing)

The company operates two separate divisions within the UK currently employing highly skilled and specialised personnel. Current products include a wide range of crankshafts, connecting rods, axle beams and forgings for the mining industry.
Things to consider:
During the first year you will be required to attend the University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre in Sheffield, full time for an initial block of study. You will return to your workplace one Friday per month. After the initial block training you will attend the AMRC Training Centre for one day a week to undertake the knowledge study. The remaining four days will be spent in company learning on the job.

Qualification Requirements:
Advanced apprenticeships entry requirements
You will need both of the following:
- GCSE English language C or 4 or above
- GCSE Maths C or 4 or above.
Applicants are also required to successfully complete a series of assessments at the University of Sheffield’s AMRC Training Centre, as well as an employer recruitment and selection process to secure a place on an apprenticeship programme.
