At the AMRC Training Centre, we train the next generation of makers, problem-solvers, and innovators. We teach apprentices who are building the future of advanced manufacturing and engineering.

Advanced manufacturing is more than just making things; it’s about making them smarter. We use cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, digital design and simulation, additive manufacturing (3D printing), and data-driven processes to push the boundaries of what’s possible.

While we thrive on innovation, we’re also proud of our roots, continuing to train apprentices in heritage metalworking and traditional engineering skills that remain the backbone of British manufacturing.

At the AMRC Training Centre, math powers everything we make, from the design of a single component to the operation of complex machinery.

Engineers use mathematical thinking to solve problems, fix challenges, and make ideas real. In mechanical engineering, calculus and differential equations help analyse movement, optimise designs, and improve performance. In electrical engineering, algebra and calculus shape circuits, signals, and systems.
