Our offices are closed for the holiday. You can still register for an apprenticeship, but you will receive a link to complete your application when we reopen on 2 January 2025.

Agemaspark

Agemaspark is a precision engineering firm located in Doncaster. It was founded 22 years ago by Paul Stockhill and has since grown to 15 staff, over 70 per cent of which were trained as apprentices from various providers by Agemaspark. Two of the original apprentices who started in 2005 and 2006 are now workshop managers who run day-to-day operations.

Agemaspark accommodates one apprentice per year with their first two University of Sheffield AMRC Training Centre apprentices joining in 2020.

Agemaspark highlighted the rapid progression of the AMRC Training Centre apprentices, with one being promoted to primary technician on the 3D metal printing additive manufacturing technology, for which he was highly commended at the 2024 South Yorkshire Apprenticeship  awards. This has allowed him to progress due in part to his noteworthy motivation and strong work ethic. As a result of his outstanding contributions, he has been earmarked to follow previous apprentices from other providers into management roles in a business model that values promoting internal talent.

The progression of the two AMRC Training Centre candidates has created positive internal impacts with both initial AMRC Training Centre apprentices stepping up into teaching roles aiding subsequent cohorts in reaching their full potential. This helps to enhance the experience and progression of future trainees in a business that has retained the majority of its past apprentices.

“The AMRC Training Centre trained apprentices have great experience and good basic training. They demonstrate a high level of technical capabilities, for new machinery and technologies, and develop personal qualities.” – Paul Stockhill, Founder and Managing director, Agemaspark.
