Get up to Speed with STEM 2025

Get up to Speed with STEM is a live, annual, careers showcase event which aims to introduce, inform and inspire students, parents and teachers about the world of work in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Manufacturing (STEM) sectors. 

The University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) and AMRC Training Centre are proud to be Bronze sponsors of the 15th edition. A highly interactive careers showcase which has promoted STEM-related career opportunities to over 44,000 young people, educators and families from across the Sheffield city region and beyond. 

Each event sees Magna Science Adventure Centre in Rotherham filled with fun and interactive exhibits from both local and national employers, to showcase businesses, industries and employment opportunities.

Who should attend?

This event is open to young people aged 8-25 who:

• want to experience STEM in a stimulating, fun and interactive way
• speak to employers and people already working in the industry, including apprentices and graduates
• find out about career pathways and opportunities.
