Q. Why did an apprenticeship appeal to you?

Being older than a school leaving student it gave me a good platform to improve my education and skills and move into the engineering industry.

Q. What are the benefits of an apprenticeship?

One of the great benefits of being an apprentice is being on the job you are studying rather than just learning from a piece of paper.

Q. How will your apprenticeship give you the skills and knowledge you need for a rewarding career?

Putting you right onto your career path is a great way to understand and learn how tasks need to be done and gives you the ability to get hands on.

Q. What has been the best part about doing an apprenticeship at the AMRC Training Centre?

The facilities at the AMRC training centre are second to none. Learning from tutors who have had years in the industry teaching you is always going to produce the best new engineers.

Q. Who inspired you to pursue a career in engineering?

Having always being in a family who's has had part in the industry in some way shape or form gave me a good platform for wanting to be an engineer, from a child I have always being into creating things and making things better.

Q. What tips and/or advice would you give to other people looking to do an apprenticeship?

Don't expect to be the best at what you do right away, it takes time to learn and understand how things work before you achieve the best results that you can produce. Have patience in learning the correct steps on how to do things, one day it will become natural.
