Things are getting more exciting every day at the new AMRC Training Centre in Catcliffe, Rotherham. The purpose built facility is almost at completion and every day sees a new machine or piece of equipment delivered.

The apprentices that started in October have been temporarily housed in a specially kitted out warehouse on the AMRC site, however they are all looking forward to their new home in early January.

Roger Davis-Green, senior trainer said “I cant wait until we are in the new building.  The quality and standard of equipment and factory layout are second to none. So far our apprentices have exceeded expectations with their capacity and ability to learn. Who knows what more they can achieve using the state of the art kit we are putting in there.  Im sure that all the employers that are sending their apprentices here will be truly impressed”.

The training centre is opening its doors to employers on the 23rd January at a special launch. Employers will be able to find out more about apprenticeships, training opportunities and take a tour around. If you are interested in attending, please email Rosie at r.wainwright@sheffield.ac.uk and we can let you have more information as speakers are confirmed.
